Half a century has passed since 1970, the year in which the World Earth Day was promoted by the UN on the initiative of the environmentalist and pacifist John McConnell.
World Earth Day is based on the principle that everyone, regardless of ethnicity, gender, the area in which they live or economic conditions, has the ethical right to a healthy, balanced and sustainable environment.
Earth Day 2020 acquires a particular meaning because it falls right at the moment of maximum global expansion of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, if on the one hand events such as demonstrations, parades and live concerts are not possible, usually organized in different countries to celebrate the event, on the other hand celebrating this day has a special meaning right now. That of the relationship between man and Nature, in each of its forms, from the largest to the smallest and most invisible. Just like viruses.
To celebrate Earth Day, we made a donation to One Tree Planted.org, to plant 1.000 trees in California to help restoration of lands damaged by wildfires.
The combination of low precipitation and record high temperatures during California’s most recent drought (2012–16) resulted in dramatically increased tree mortality and large, severe wildfires. The State Forest Service now spends over 50% of its budget fighting fires, when a decade ago it was less than 20%.
California’s forests need active management in order to improve their health, reduce the risk of major wildfires and pest infestations, and protect this beautiful natural playground for future generations. Our amazing reforestation partners work with several state and federal forestry assistance programs as well as private landowners, aiming to improve the health and productivity of forest lands.
Started in 2014 One Tree Planted, has more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, they now work with awesome reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.

April 22nd is only a day to remember the World how important it is to take care of the place we live in, this beautiful blue planet.
The 1.000 trees we planted today represent only the first step of a more ambitious goal. We believe air is one of the most intrinsically connected element to life itself, therefore we should really care as our own life and wellness depends on the quality of the air we breathe.
For this reason we decided to donate 1$ for every product sold on Airnex web store to plant 1 tree in parts of the world where is needed most, as part of our commitment to help people breathe clean.
When purchasing an Airnex product you're entering a community of people creating cleaner air for the World.
Happy Earth Day!
